I've also run the software updates until it says I'm up to date so.? So basically I need to know if this is a VirtualBox issue? Am I forced to using the VirtualBox display adapter drivers or can I run native drivers right in Mint? I've tried running inxi -Gx and it shows that I'm running the InnoteK Virtualbox Graphics Adapter drivers. The problem is I'm getting the message "Running in software rendering mode" message but the video drivers I'm running are the VirtualBox drivers so I'm not sure if there is a way to run native Linux drivers when I'm running in VirtualBox. So I've installed Mint Cinnamon 17 and am running it on VirtualBox version 6.0Īfter I installed it I ran the installation CD that was already on the desktop to install the full working version rather than the trial version.Īnyway, I installed the "guest additions CD" to get it to run full screen on my laptop. This is my first post here and I'm not sure if the issue I'm having is a Mint 17 issue or a VirtualBox 6 issue.
